“we climb steep banks
open gates
visit memories
no longer there
floating the surface
fleeting rainbow oil
aimless clouds
engulf us
lift us
stuff we dream of”
LXXXI
Your golden eyes laugh in slumber
Caressing lips with wanton will
Perilous byroads to reclining vistas
Guiding our shiny serpentine staff
You alone possess abundance
Noble creature, will them here
Witness signs left for us
Light moulding our changing paths
Will you wait for me, will you
Leave boundaries most beautiful
LXXXII
Dancers dappling years of yearning
Rites stamped with feet of clay
Loud rituals of shivering heroes
Vows echoing heavenly sounds
Floating rivers, grasping voids
Sun in a leafy cathedral
Komorebi, healing pain
Release streaming over us
Oh, our ardent achieving
The triumphant beast is here

“forever
I would never
ever leave this place
a patient sacred bull
seeing these exalted figures
dressed in honorable origins
daimones
reaching out
moving towards us
making us
comfortably numb”
LXXXIII
I left Babel for the venerable mountains
Glancing down from the heights of shepherds
Nothing but a whole city of gold
Full of karmic sacraments
I watched, cold and groaning
Under chaotic infinite heavens
An icy wet lamb found in the snow
The same staring eyes
Gazing long enough
I had not moved at all
LXXXIV
Lost in all directions
We climb yet another top
We still hear the sea
Or sighing sleepless pines
Causes scattered in our wake
True memory prints from worn boots
Heaped up wind, and snow, up
Hard grey-green pining
We know, relieved from needs
All this a humble god’s abode

“We never hesitated
while hills across
housed shining giants
guardians of pure sun
radiating
inner fire
somnolent
beckoning”
LXXXV
Oracles rattling roof tiles
Until the real thing comes along
‘The son of Maia rules the skies’
The traveller’s starry eyes
Truth hidden in his crooked smile
His nod probing our longing
‘You will be taken, mentioning me’
As we prolong our sojourn here
Kindly grace us with fierce protection
While we travel knotty roads
LXXXVI
He came to bring original bliss
His chariot pilot keeping balance
Ploughing a way to bountiful harvests
How we brave his long night hunt
This, now, this is the place to open your eyes
On the left we see Inanna, daughter of light
Her merciful young body radiant
Hear her sing, see her look up
And besides her, very pale
Oh, I see

“floating through pines
living temple columns
a pale lilac flower
unmoved
touches earth and sky
you
a gate to the other world
open
love to
dance to
sleep”
LXXXVII
Cloaked giver of grace
From numerous gods and counting
You are for real
Lifting our nomadic hopes
We still count the knots in strings
Our piddling prayers pathetic and thin
Here a crown and a silence there
Dictating laws of heaven are we, right
You, you are an angel close to us
Translucent, precise, sublime
LXXXVIII
As slow rain transform this light
A spray of colours seals our fortune
Craving, quivering offerings
Bleeding feet in mire
Our wandering is the way
Shaping shifting guises
You tell me all you knew
And I will tell you all I can
Stubble of understanding
A five o’clock shadow of faith

“approach this
wild coursing
light leaping
river of bounteous rain
longing to couple
our skins untouched
I love you
I love you so much”
LXXXIX
We obey prophecies we dream up
Caves full of shadowy vows
Rolling meadows, healing sacrifices
Dark oak shades in stone
Sun of revelation, innocent man child
Through your divine eyes we see
You pierce this harmony of lies
This gentle comfort blanketing all
A flourish of sun-lit omens
Revealed to us by gazing
XC
The dark sleeper in patient woods
Rises to an amber morning
His piercing sight feasts on fear
Cross this beckoning ford and enter
The small white temple beguiles
Perfect rich bounty waits inside
Beyond reach, stirring and profound
It takes just one finger to partake
Father of time, lover of one
Let us stand in this river for a while
